DIRT COLLECTION TRAY

To prevent dirt from being carried further into production and logistics halls, the clean driving zones collect the dirt in easy-to-clean collection trays

_ Dirt collection tray in two heights

To prevent dirt from being dispersed within production and logistics halls, it is collected in a collection tray under the cleaning mats.

The choice of the right tray size depends on three decisive factors:

  1. requirements
Before making a decision, it must be clear what the situation is like on site, whether cleaning is to take place inside, outside or in both places and how wide the passageways are.
  2. vehicles and frequency
Which vehicles cross the clean-off zone? Do shoe treads also need to be cleaned? How many crossings take place per day? If the frequency is higher, we recommend using a deeper tray because more dirt can be collected.
  3. maintenance intervals
The deeper the tray, the more dirt it can hold and the longer the cleaning interval. This saves you work, as the collection trays need to be cleaned less frequently.

_ Modular System

The ProfilGate® clean-off zone modules are available in two standard widths that can be individually combined (see drawing). This enables us to optimally adapt them to the requirements of your production and logistics halls.

You give us the dimensions of the entrances and transitions where you would like to use our clean-off zones and we will put together the right modules for you.

Of course, we will also be happy to advise you personally on site and take the measurements ourselves.

_ Determining the correct cleaning field length

Based on the analysis by the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and IBELIN laboratory, we know exactly the length at which our clean driving zones achieve their optimum cleaning effect. To get a rough estimate of this, you can use the following rules of thumb for planning:

Transport vehicles: At least three tire rotations are enough to remove 80 % of the dirt. This means that your cleaning area should be at least 3 - 4 times the tread area of the largest tire circumference to be cleaned.

Shoe soles: For cleaning shoe soles, each foot should have at least four to six contacts with the cleaning field with a normal stride length.

Of course, the conditions on site play a decisive role in exact planning. These include the type of vehicle and dirt, dry or wet cleaning and much more. If you have any questions on this topic, we will be happy to advise you.
